The homeless...

As some of you may already know I started my adult life at 14 years of age as a homeless teen. Today one of my primary goals is to help other homeless people who were not as fortunate as I have been in recent years. I hope to utilize #p2 to achieve this end, as well as participate in helping fight prejudice and poverty in general. Thank you so much for making this such a great group :)

This is an issue where I think it would be great for #p2 to help. One thing that would be great to do is to provide resources for homeless people and advocates on Twitter. How best to stay in touch via Twitter if your only access is via library and community technology center computers? What about situations where a single phone needs to be shared by a bunch of people? And so on. Is this somehting thing that could be useful?In terms of action, it might make sense is to work with other advocacy groups to help get the word out on Twitter to build support for legislation or spotlight important stories. Not sure of what the best way to proceed on that front is ... again I defer to you ... jon Do you find this valuable? |
